How To Fold Fitted Sheets

Yesterday was clean sheet day
Don’t you just love clean sheet day??
You crawl into bed at the end of a long hard day
And snuggle into crisp clean sheets
So are you a ‘wash and put the sheets back on the bed when they’re done’ kind of person?
Or are you a ‘multi sheet set person’ who puts a clean set on the bed as soon as you pull the dirty ones off?
I gotta say, I’m a multi sheet set kind of girl. I like to get the old ones off and the new ones on and the bed made up ASAP. No hanging around with an unmade bed while the sheets are in the wash…
Ever since I can remember, I’ve made my bed first thing in the morning. I think it sets the tone for the day.
Years ago, a friend challenged me to leave my bed unmade for 1 day out of the week. You see she was worried that she was getting too compulsive about having to have her bed made every day. So every Wednesday was ‘messy bed day’ at her house. She just left her bed unmade on Wednesdays.
Seriously, I don’t know how she did it
I guess I’m okay with compulsive….
So if you’re team Extra Sheets and make up the bed right away like me, then you know that you need to fold and put away the sheets you just washed and dried.
So what do you do with the bottom sheet?
How’s a person supposed to deal with that?
All those corners…
I know someone who has a sign in their laundry room that says ‘Life’s Too Short To Fold The Bottom Sheet’. That’s how I felt for most of my life until someone actually showed me how to fold fitted sheets the easy way. Now my linen cabinet is neat and tidy!
So in case no one ever showed you, here’s…
HOW TO FOLD FITTED SHEETS
Lay the sheet out with the right side facing down and the top corners folded in
2. Take the bottom 2 corners and turn them inside out
3. Now put your hand inside one bottom corner and pull it up and into the inside of the top corner on the same side
4. Do the same with the other bottom corner
5. Straighten everything out until you have a neat rectangle with all the corners at the top and the sides folded inward
6. Fold the right side over the left side matching the corners at the top left
7. Now you have an even rectangle that’s manageable
8. Fold it in thirds one way
9. Then in thirds the other way
10. And you’re done!
Now wasn’t that easy??
Who said life’s too short to fold the bottom sheet??
Not me…
