5-Minute Flower Arrangements
(this post contains affiliate links)
I don’t know about you,
but I’ve got Spring Fever.
Maybe it’s the sunshine,
maybe it’s the full moon,
or maybe it’s because Spring is only a few weeks away,
but I just need some fresh flowers in my house right now!
So, have you got 5 minutes?
Oh good!
I can show you how to make quick flower arrangements:
GATHER SOME FLOWERS
If you’re lucky enough to live in a mild climate and have some in your yard — great! If not, head to the grocery store and get some. Most stores today have a lot of great cut flowers to choose from.
FIND A DECORATIVE CONTAINER
I got these soup tureens at an Estate Sale a couple of weeks ago. I didn’t get them to serve soup from — I got them to use for decor.
I also love to use pitchers, vintage buckets, French market baskets, bottles and jars for flowers.
Look around your house — I’m sure there’s all kinds of interesting things you could use to put flowers in.
The trick is to:
USE A SEPARATE CONTAINER INSIDE
I just used a mason jar to put the flowers in.
PUT THE FLOWERS IN THE CONTAINER
Fill the container with water and add your flowers. Start with the largest flowers first. I’m using ornamental kale in this arrangement. Trim the stems to a length that will sit just above the soup tureen.
Make sure your flowers will come down slightly over the rim of the soup tureen.
Add your second largest flowers next.
Keep adding flowers evenly around the arrangement. Let some hang over the side.
PLACE THE JAR OF FLOWERS IN THE SOUP TUREEN
And that’s it!
Now just sit back and enjoy your 5-minute flower arrangement!
You could also do a 5-minute flower arrangement in a vintage bucket…
Or a pitcher…
Or a French market basket…
The possibilities are endless!
So now that you know how to make 5-minute flower arrangements
you can bring a little Spring into
every room in your house!
