How To Set Up A Dessert Buffet
(this post contains affiliate links)
Okay, I admit it
Dessert is my favorite meal!
And there’s nothing like a good dessert buffet.
So if you’re looking for some ideas on how to set up a buffet table
You’ve come to the right place!
Here are my best tips for setting up a dessert buffet
(Or any buffet for that matter)
LEVELS, LEVELS, LEVELS
If you want to make the most of the room you have on your buffet table, use lots of levels! Varying the sizes and heights of your dishes not only creates an interesting and pretty display, but it also creates just a little more room for your spread so you can squeeze more goodies in! Use cake plates, pedestals, upside-down dishes and even books to vary the heights of your serving dishes.
LAYERS
Put cookies on plates on top of cake stands... Put a cherry crisp in a fluted casserole in a fluted pie dish on a cake plate…
You get the idea
THINK ABOUT COLOR
Use serving pieces that are all the same or similar in color. This keeps everything looking pulled together. You can vary the styles and the materials but if they’re all the same color, they’ll work together. Here I used white but there’s white ceramic, white marble, white wood, white linen and even silver and clear glass to keep the look from being boring.
CHOOSE A THEME
This is Memorial weekend so I went with a patriotic red, white and blue theme. I like to use foods that match my theme. So I went with red cherry crisp, red and white mini cupcakes, cookies with red, white and blue sprinkles and a bowl of red strawberries and blueberries.
So that’s it
Just a few quick and easy ideas for a fun dessert buffet!
