DIY Bathroom Makeover Before And After

I can finally show you what we’ve been working on for the last several weeks!
Our Guest Bath makeover is finished!
But first…
Let’s take a look back at where we started
Vanity, countertop, mirror and door courtesy of 1964
Gray carpet, tile, light fixture and window treatment courtesy of 1990
And now…
Here it is!
Fresh
Updated
Spa-like
The vanity cabinet is a ready-made piece that had a broken marble top so we got it for about 1/10 of the price
Then we bought a piece of Sichuan Bianco marble and had the countertop custom made (That’s the only thing we didn’t do ourselves)
I love how it looks with the Carrera marble wainscot, don’t you?
We kept the tub that was here because it’s in perfect condition and it’s really pretty
I love how it looks now without the doors on it
I made the shower curtain out of a queen sized linen sheet
You can see how I made it HERE
And did you notice the mirror??
There’s a little story there…
We tried to re-use the wall mirror that was there before but it broke when we cut it
So….
There was another mirror in the Master Bath that we haven’t remodeled yet
So we used that one!
It was a really tricky project to get the holes cut for the lights, then get it up on the wall and build the frame around it
But I’m so happy with the way it turned out!
You can see how we did that project HERE
Here’s one more look at the before
And after
And before
And after
Ahhh…
Satisfaction…
